Saturday morning we went for a Walk for Autism. As a teacher, I developed a big respect for those kids and families dealing with Autism. I hope this walk and others like it are able to help continue the efforts to bring awareness of and find prevention and treatment for the disorder.
Before the walk, they had many fun games and
activities for the kids. Here's Madeline trying to throw some balls into the buckets:

It wasn't going too well, so she decided to just walk up and stick 'em in!

Then she moved over to try football:

Then off on our walk:

This is all the ladies from our mom's group that showed up:

My friend, Janette, took this picture and titled it, "Real Men Walk for Autism."

After the walk, Ethan hung out to chat with his girl:

And Madeline got her arm painted:

She was too afraid to get her cheek painted, so she just asked the lady to paint on her arm. She asked for a rainbow. I was worried she'd get upset that night when it came off in the bathtub, but she was
OK because "Daddy will paint another one." :)
