Easter 2010

Last night we finally got around to dying our Easter eggs:
Madeline did and awesome job. She did most of the steps all by herself and didn't make any mess at all :)

...and didn't break any eggs either :)

We just let either put stickers on:

After the kiddies were tucked in bed, the Easter bunny showed up at the Harkins' home and made a little mess:

He must not have known about the big messes of Madeline's we would be cleaning up all night:

Yay for Easter goodies!!! Madeline has wanted a balloon from the store for quite a while so I just knew she'd love the one the Easter bunny left!

More mess?? What could this trail lead to?

Ah ha! Some goodies for Mommy and Daddy!! Daddy loves to get these eggs at Easter, but only because he LOVES to give them to the kids!

Well, Easter morning didn't quite go as we thought it would. Poor little Madeline was up alllll night long battling some sort of stomach bug. As soon as she woke up she came right out to the couch, but wasn't too interested in the goodies left by the Easter bunny. She wanted to care...she just didn't have it in her:

Ethan, however, was feeling great and dove right in looking for some candy:

Madeline did get up enough strength to come check out the goodies. She saw this hat that she loved (because of the princesses). She asked me to put it on her:

And then she decided she just wanted to go back and lay down and "look at the rest later"

Ethan was super excited to find a box of Matchbox cars!!!!!

He couldn't get that box open fast enough. Surprisingly, once the box of cars were opened, he never went back to see what else he got. He seriously played with these 5 cars all day long. He just loves cars (or "beep-beeps" as he calls them):

If he wasn't playing with his cars, he was dancing to Super Silly Songs:

Madeline just had a lot of TLC and TV time today:

Ethan made sure he got his share of TLC too though

Here's the little guy reading one of his favorite books. He loves books that are this size:

Madeline had a lot of sleep to catch up on during the day:

Come bedtime, the goodies were still as they were in the morning. We'll just save them for another day ...

...when our little girl is up for it.

By the time dinner was over, Madeline seemed to be doing a little better. Daddy gave her a bath and read her a book and we got her tucked in:

Our little princess has been asleep for several hours now without a peep :) I think she's on the rebound :) Thank you Lord.
