Last day at my folks

For Madeline's 3rd birthday, my Dad made her birthday cake with her. Well, ever since then Madeline talks about making a cake with Pop allllll the time. It's the first thing she wants to do with him when we see him. So before we left their house, she and my Dad made a cake: Being that they are both artists, they drew a picture. And Madeline is in a phase where she likes "MH" to go on everything:
Ethan enjoyed some cuddle time with Marmie:
As did Madeline:
And then they fought over her:
Doug and I were SO happy that the kids got to see it snow and had a chance to play in it!! It was definitely one of the highlights of their trip! The FIRST thing Madeline wanted to do when she saw snow was make a snow angel. It didn't matter that there was hardly a dusting on the ground...she was determined to make an angel:
As expected:
Can't say I blame her:
How I stay in shape (wink, wink) ...keeping busy:
My Dad and I barely piled up (no, the snow would not roll) enough snow for Madeline to make a snowman. She loved this little thing!!!!
The Box
I received some makeup from my Mom for Christmas and it came in this pink box. It quickly became Ethan's Car Box. On repeated occasions, he would gather up all of his new cars, trucks, etc, into this box, then carry them around. He'd soon find a new location, and one by one remove each vehicle and line them up. Then repeat...
Here he is with them all gathered, ready to leave Marmie and Pops and head to MomMom and Poppy's:
All packed up and ready to go stay at MomMom and Poppy's for a few days before heading back to Georgia (by the way, Doug was able to organize this much better (by eliminating a lot of trash/boxes/packaging and reorganizing) so that the 10hour ride home was much more comfortable than this looks:
Among all the "stuff"...don't they just look so cute and peaceful!
We LOVED our visit with my parents, as usual and are so happy we had that time with them :)
