End of July we made our annual trip to Ocean City, Maryland to spend a week at the beach with my brother, sister (and her family) and my parents. This was the first year Doug was able to make it with us! Yay! So happy he was able to see the kids experience so much :)
We drove straight from GA to the beach...kids couldn't get their feet in the sand fast enough:
First thing the next morning, we were suited up and ready for the beach. Both kids LOVED being buried!
The kids were so much more comfortable with the water this year. I love that they have some fear in them, especially when it comes to the ocean, but it's nice that they have figured out how to safely enjoy the waters. The first day they were right in:

We stayed at a new place this year and it had a pool and a play ground!!! We used it all regularly! Doug is playing hide and seek:

What was I thinking suggesting my brother ride with Madeline!! That poor girl! It'll probably be years before she wants to ride anything with him again!

I was shocked when Madeline ran up to this one and wanted to ride it!! She didn't hesitate! She is getting more brave with each year:
