Easter for Kids

March 27, 2010
We took the kids to an event called Easter For Kids, sponsored by a local church. The activities and stories were based off the book, "The Tales of Three Trees." The book is about three trees that tell the story of God's love for mankind through Jesus' birth, life and resurrection.
Ethan waiting for story time to begin:
Although he looks crazy here, he surprisingly sat very well during the whole story (with the exception of throwing his toy train at Madeline's head):
Decorating eggs:

Love?

They got to decorate a pot, put dirt in it, and plant a seed:
When they were done, they each got to pick out a colored cross to place inside their pot. I thought it was cute that, although they picked them at different times, they both chose green :)
Coloring time:
She takes coloring/painting very seriously:
Easter egg hunt. Ethan ran outside and ran all around like the other kids...but he had no idea what he was doing. I helped him find a few eggs, but he wasn't very interested.
Madeline LOVED it!!!
Ethan just preferred to swing:
After the egg hunt, we returned inside to watch a play of the book put on by the youth from the church. We had a wonderful morning!!!
