Sunday stroll on the Riverwalk

March 14, 2010
A couple guys that Doug knew from when he worked at Ft. Meade were working at Ft Gordon these past two weeks. They've known us since before we had kids, so it was neat for us to get together again so they could see Madeline again and meet Ethan. First, we went to lunch at the incredible Boll Weevil Cafe...mmm mmm mmm. After our bellies were overfilled with enormous sandwiches and not-your-normal-size slice of cake, we made the short walk to the Riverwalk to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Notice the sippy cup clutched under Ethan's arm?? First of all, he loves to have something tucked under his arm...it's sort of like his comfort thing. He's never taken a pacifier, he doesn't have a blankie or stuffed animal of any sort...he just likes to tuck random things under his arm when going to bed, nap or just anywhere. Secondly, that's Madeline's cup from lunch! The kid would drink ANYTHING if it was in Madeline's cup. Fortunatly, she's used to it and just doesn't care anymore.
This is the other thing he still likes to do...have something in each hand, usually a rock:
Madeline and Mr. Greg racing:
It was so nice for Doug and I to have someone else tireing out our kids!!!
Ethan was outside for most of the day and it did result in some redness and itchiness to his eyes, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it was the previous weekend...probably because of the Zyrtec.

Madeline couldn't wait to show Mr. Greg and Mr. Mark the water fountain!!
She was trying to throw the coin up to the "man"
Great friends, great lunch, great weather, great day!
